This class is suitable for all levels of abilities and all equipment is provided!

Firstly I will guide you through meditation and breathing techniques to bring the mind into the body to relax the attention given to outside stimulus and distractions. We will draw Kundalini energy up through the chakras before we move into some delicately articulated salutations.

Moving through the salutations with a mindful eye on form, we will create equilibrium throughout the body.
​
We will then move on to the yin yoga section of the class. This part involves deep stretching in the muscles and because the stretches are held for longer than traditional Hatha or Ashtanga asanas we reach a stretch of the fascia surrounding the muscles. As well as being great for the muscles this is great for fibromyalgia and osteoporosis.

The level of meditation and mindfulness we have created through the whole class comes into play here. The body awareness and the quiet mind trigger the parasympathetic nervous system which in turn puts the body into a level of rest and restoration!!

The next stage of the class is Yoga Nidra, this stage is a deep guided meditation. This stage is a deep guided meditation. This will hold you in that state of rest and restore whilst I guide you through every part of the body from toes to crown, waking up the entire body into a conscious state before we rest in Savasana.
